Fitout Carpenter

Standard days: Monday - Thursday

Standard hours: 07:00 - 17:00

Main purpose of role:

Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in the construction of high quality boats! You’ll be responsible for installing furniture, fittings, plumbing, and other key components, ensuring every boat is built to the highest standards.

Main responsibilities:

• Precision Installation: Scribe, trim, and adjust furniture to perfection; fit hardware including port holes, locks, handles, and hatches.

• Plumbing & Fixtures: Install sinks, toilets, holding tanks, and showers with precision.

• Fittings & Customization: Fit canopies, hard tops, and windows. Create custom patterns for bespoke units.

• Final Touches: Apply adhesives and sealants, handle final installations and sign off on boat files for compliance

• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide less experienced team members.

• Material Management: Safeguard materials and products on-site.

• Creative Problem Solving: Tackle challenges head-on, adapting to overcome build obstacles and improve efficiency.

Knowledge and experience:

• 4 years of hands-on experience

• Level 3 qualification in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent)

• Strong carpentry skills with an eye for detail and flawless finish.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information.

• Team player, ready to jump in and contribute to any boat build
