Job description

Standard days: Monday - Thursday

Standard hours: 07:00 - 17:00

Main purpose of role:

Spraying mouldings in the small moulds. Basic preparation skills and ability to carry out small repairs.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare consoles for fit-out by cutting to specification and conducting pre-installation work.

• Perform GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) repairs, including filling, fairing, and surface preparation to ensure first-time quality and high-end finish.

• Oven-bake items as necessary in preparation for spraying.

• Apply a variety of base coats and specialist finishes to GRP components, both on-site and off-site.

• Mix, measure, and develop paint systems and materials

• Ensure all work meets aesthetic and durability standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

• Follow all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Knowledge and experience:

• Completion of an Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in Paint Spraying (or equivalent)

• Ideally, 2 - 4 years experience in appropriate manufacturing / car body background
