Planned Maintenance Manager

Job description

Main Purpose of the Role:

  • To effectively plan, prioritise and ensure delivery of the Planned Maintenance Programme on all Assets and properties within the PYL portfolio owned, leased and hired.
  • To ensure the onsite facilities managers support the Delivery of the Planned Maintenance program, and also support them in coordinating any follow up defects following any planned maintenance tasks working with the wider support team.
  • To own the development of the CAFM system to support the wider Department of Facilities, HSE and Occ Health.
  • To support the management for all permit to works systems across the portfolio.
  • Keep up to date with legislation and regulation changes that affect HS&E or Facilities
  • Ensure the Facilities aspects of Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems are compliant to the agreed scope, whilst maintaining the standards to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification
  • To support the long-term plan and a maintenance & replacement programme for site buildings and machinery.
  • To act as an Ambassador for Princess Yachts, operating with integrity and drive appropriate to the Company’s values. Leading by example at all times.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

1. Facilities Management

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and standards
  • Support the Onsite Facilities Managers emergency Facilities response in hours and as part of a on call rota out of hours
  • Oversee the Planned maintenance operations and central controlled asset information of all company properties, buildings, and facilities assets across the portfolio.
  • Support the delivery of the Facilities departmental strategy (Back to Basics) and to align with the wider department business roadmap
  • Manage spend in line with Planned Maintenance budgets (DOA) and resources for estate maintenance and improvements up to a value of £25K
  • Support the FM Project management with contractor management and service providers for ensuring all projects that effect Planned maintenance is reviewed and updated as required in line with good practice or to maintain and warranties.
  • Work with key departments to ensure critical production Facilities issues are addressed and escalations are prioritised
  • Build a relationship with the Site based Senior Management team to ensure that escalation routes are aligned.

2. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead the Central Planned Maintenance function and support the head of Facilities with Supplier relationship management across the portfolio.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Generate a positive working environment and foster strong team working
  • Ensure that individual and Work stream of the Planned Maintenance program agreed objectives are set to align with the department strategic roadmap
  • To support and deputise upon request for the Project, Management or Head of Facilities as required.

3. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, and compliance documentation
  • Keep senior management informed of any emerging issues or areas of concern
  • Review and align with HS&E, with regards to Risk Assessments, Method statements for maintenance and planned works.
  • Manage the approved permit to work safe system of work across the portfolio

4. Budget

  • Responsibility for approving and confirming to allow receipting of all planned and reactive orders up to a value of £25000.00

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Facilities Management qualification or, +10 years’ experience in a similar Facilities role.
  • Member of a Certified Body, IOSH and IWFM or be working towards it.
  • Level 4 Management Qualification
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Skills and Personal Attributes:
  • Proven experience in Facilities management, with experience of managing supplier relationships in a planned structured approach.
  • Demonstratable experience in management of property maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and Planned maintenance standards in relation to estates and facilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead/direct team in a clear, confident and appropriate manner
