Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller - Operations, the main purpose of the role will be to support the senior managers at our parts and hulls manufacturing site to achieve their financial targets, analysing financial performance and proactively driving business improvements.
Responsibilities / Tasks:
Financial business partnering to Operations across a number of sites, ensuring understanding and ownership of all aspects of the P&L
To work with colleagues in the production and control of budgets, forecasts and manufacturing plans and monitor performance and progress against them using variance analysis
Support preparation of Month-end and Management Accounts
To contribute to the on-going development of financial plans which deliver savings and improved value for money
Using modern tools including Power BI, prepare statistical information and reports as required in order to identify trends and areas of improvement, along with financial solutions
To proactively identify process improvements
To carry out project work as required
To ensure that all processes are in line with Company standards, acting as an ambassador for the company, operating with a high level of integrity and drive appropriate to the Company’s values
To be an integral part of the site Management team
To demonstrate commercial awareness regarding the company’s products, customers, markets and production processes
To promote the business as a market leader
To undertake any other reasonable duties and tasks as commensurate with the position

Person Specification:
Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or Qualified by Experience
Experience in the manufacturing sector is essential
Working knowledge of Power BI, with the ability to create visuals and dashboard
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to influence others, in and outside of the Finance function
Team player who can both lead and support cross-functional groups as circumstances require
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate financial information to Operations Senior Managers in a meaningful manner
Attention to accuracy and detail
Confident, enthusiastic and resilient
Efficient approach to tasks and delivering on time
High standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
