GRP Repairer

Standard days: Monday - Thursday

Standard hours: 07:00 - 17:00

Main purpose of role:

We are currently seeking skilled and detail-oriented GRP Repairers to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs and refinishing work on Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) components used in the manufacture of our yachts.

Main responsibilities:

• Carry out cosmetic and structurally complex mould repairs to a high standard

• Identify damage or defects and determine the appropriate repair method.

• Use hand and power tools for grinding, sanding, cutting, and polishing.

• Work with a range of chemicals including resins and hardeners.

• Ensure work is completed to company quality standards and within project deadlines.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

• Follow all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Knowledge and experience:

• 4 years previous experience in a similar role/ car body finishing

• Desirable Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a composite repair or a related field

• Strong knowledge of GRP materials, tools, and repair techniques.

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Team player, ready to jump in and contribute to any boat build.
