Facilities Business Partner – Princess Yachts
Plymouth, UK. Full-time (4.5 day week)
Join one of the UK’s most iconic luxury yacht manufacturers and play a vital role in keeping our facilities running smoothly. At Princess Yachts, we're looking for a proactive and experienced Facilities Business Partner to help drive excellence in maintenance, safety, and operations across our site.
The role:
The Facilities Business Partner will take responsibility for the maintenance and performance of company buildings, plant, and equipment across multiple locations. They will lead the Facilities function, working closely with internal operational teams and external contractors to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective service delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Oversee and ensure the timely completion of all building and facilities maintenance, including reactive and planned repairs.
• Manage the maintenance of equipment, coordinating and supervising external contractors as required.
• Ensure all employees and contractors operate safely on site, improving contractor control, compliance, and site standards.
• Monitor and report on equipment performance and availability, providing analysis and feedback to the Facilities team.
• Manage day-to-day equipment-related issues in collaboration with Operations, helping to prioritise work and coordinate planned shutdowns.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules alongside the Facilities Management team.
• Support the Engineering team during new equipment installations, including contractor coordination and oversight.
• Oversee waste management processes, ensuring contractor activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and out-of-hours call-outs as part of the on-call rota, following agreed escalation procedures.
• Obtain and review subcontractor quotations, supporting CAPEX and OPEX planning and budget management.
• Act as deputy to the Facilities Manager during periods of absence due to holiday or sickness.
• Take ownership of specific workstreams aligned to your skills and qualifications, promoting best practice and strong supplier relationships.

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience managing contractors and third-party service providers.
• Previous experience in a similar facilities role, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, production, or logistics environment.
• IWFM qualification (desirable).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with CAFM systems.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
• Highly organised, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
